SH Corination

So this weekend I went to StormHaven. Thanks for the crash space Sir. Had a great weekend, the weather was awesome, the fighting was great, and the corination feast and court were tons of fun.

So we showed up at the park about 1130 or so, in Deere Park. We (myself, Naomi and Sir Garth) were the first ones on site... by about 10 minutes. Then everyone started showing up to get the dastle inflated, the feast hall perpared the whole nine yards. The Emperor was there as well as I representing the Kingdom. Many people traveled from Hermits Hold, Storm Haven proper and across town for those Deere Parkers.

We ditched till the kids at teh field kicked us off so they could play soccer on the field that was marked out... oops guess we should have looked lol. So when we got moved we started the castle battle. We played hold the sheild, full abilities. It was great. No one complaining about sashes bieng needed..... except Orimis. Well he wanted to play peasent, so I guess his wasnt a complaint, as much as a guess what, I dont need one neener neener. Oh well, we all fought well and hard.

Then it started to cloud over so we took the castle down so we didnt get it all moldy. The second game we played was just a straight shatter battle.

After that we moved onto court. Lots of awards went out to people who deserved them. The highlight of the evening was the Knighting. Then court was over, and SH struck up some games of liars dice. good times. If you havent been to Stormhaven recently they are going to look into doing more Hermits Hold days come spring, I highly suggest you go, they are a blast.

This last weekend

So this last weekend was a relic quest in Silver Moon. I went down there not expecting much. I know Silver Moon is a smaller holding, which no offesne to them those holdings tend to be more scared of outside people. It happens, no worries. Well I am happy to say when I got there I wasnt the first or second ones there. There were 3 or 4 people there at 1200 or so. It was nice. I saw lots of people arriving and being welcomed by the Silver Moon crew with open arms. It was pretty cool. Lots of sashes and people loaning them out. Thanks for that everyone. I got to taste many of the dishes prepared for the Iron Chef competion some really good food was made.

The quest was run very well, and seemed to me that everyone had fun. Watching the role play and the fighting mixed together was fun indeed.

I admit i am missing stuff, but Sat was a pretty tireing day. i should have done this sunday, but i was still pretty wiped. Oh well

This weekend

So this weekend I went to IO for Guild master elections and for the election of the GMR. We ditched and had a god time. I left before the battle game so I cant say how that went, but by far the highlight of the day was watching Doggy try to fit in a pair of pants that were... just a bit small. The ladies would have loved it, stick jocks woulda cringed lol.

Sunday I went to Shrouding Mist. Not feeling well and with a sore shoulder from the day before, I didnt stick around the whole day. Ther eis a bunch more that happened, but frankly I am putting that behind me. I will say, SASHES SASHES SASHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is my big push for the rest of the reign. Make sure everyone has a sash, and uses it.

27 September Hermits Hold

Today I went to Hermits Hold to fight in the castle battle sponsored by Stormhaven. I had a blast, the castle battles went amazingly well. On the ditch field I heard the absolute perfect line. Said to Sir Robin "If only I were better I would so kick your ass!!" Hermits Hold was a great host for this event and Stormhaven along with HH decided to try to do it more often, since its just about the middle for NL and SH folks and fairly close for BS members to travel up and fight in the amazing castle battles and fun times. We had a couple of castle battles and then started a pick up jugging thing. Just about everyone who wanted to got in one game or another.

The role play and garbing were great, allot of people played each game in some form or other of their character it was great to see and hear. Everyone who didn't go this trip keep an eye on the lists for the next time they are going to do it and try to go, it was a great time and allot of fun.

After the day at the field ended, we went to Abby's pizza for dinner. Just about everyone who was at the field made an appearance. We sat and talked, laughed and joked, gave each other a hard time. It showed some old school camaraderie. I miss doing things like that.

26 September

So today I went to Angels Haven to fight. About all I can say is wow. I don't really think they play our game anymore. Partial parry, armor hidden by clothing, other things. I showed up about 1pm or 1:30 while they were playing a game of football. I would have unbalanced the teams so I sat out on my own suggestion. The next thing on the agenda was a relic quest. For Himdals Horn. At the start of the quest I was asked why I was participating, since I couldn't win the relic. So I played anyway knowing I couldn't win, not really wanting to win but to just have fun. I fought as a barbarian using long and board. After eliminating the entire other team at least once, I ran into another player who had 5 points of armor supposedly and no purple sash. Wow really? Since I couldn't even see his armor I didn't believe he had any on let alone the amount reserved for warriors. Then I fought him in front of a reeve... well after hitting him 10 or 12 times as he claimed to block part of every shot thrown, I stabbed him 6 times right in the gut then asked how much "armor" he had? I was told you only hit me once and I still have 4 points on torso!!!!!!!!

About all I can say about Angels Haven is WOW.
Not going back here again.

NL coranation

So for those of you who didnt go to the NL event yesterday, you missed a fun day on the ditch field and a good fast easy simple quest. IT aws fun because it was so fast adn easy. Court and feast were a bit messed up not due to anyone failing, just due to bodies falling apart. Naomi did a good job scrambling to in a replacement feast on extremely short notice. Granted it was pizza, but it was ot and fresh so not a totaly bad thing.

I would like to point out if you havent been to Gypsy Hallow it isnt a bad park. THe people are fairly personable, the fighting was clean and thre were many smiles to be seen.

Thanks to the clan of gypsies for actually makeing me roleplay to get you to court, it was fun. I dont use the accent often enough anymore.

A few highlights from court, Doggy got a gryphon, you have to see the pic of his face its almost priceless. Laylen got knighted, so welcome SIR KAYLIN serpent knight of amtgard.

I was glad to see people from many different lands show up, its always nice to see people I know from one land at anothers park. Makes for good times all around.

Christian, and Gypsy Hallow thanks for hosting the event, I would say it was a good one overall. THere were over 85 people there so some how word got around.

Ragu, I hope to see you around. Make sure you bring Torig and the rest of the holding next time!!!

Pac-War!!

So another Pac-War has come and gone. What a weekend!! The sun was great, the fighting was good and the parties were even better. Enough of the lame comentary, you wanna know what I did this weekend, I know you do, come on admit it! What I did at pac-war..............

Thursday. Got lost on the way to site, still showed up around 1215 or so, about 15 minutes late of planned arrivial time. Set up my camp right in front of this REALLY pimpin tarp painted to look like a castle witha trebuchet in front, yup them Anhilus boys camp. Said my hello's then off I went back north about 2 hours to longview to pick up a member of Mythril Hills because I said I would. Got back about 430 5 o'clockish. Sat gate for my shift, got to give a really cool speech about the Amtgard Multi-Pass! Thursday night we had, I think and I may be wrong I didnt get to look at final numbers, 150 or so people on site. Alot for the first night of a 3 day event, not on a long weekend. There was lots of experienced people there as well as quite a few new people to eitehr the game or to the NW amtgard scene. I didnt fight in the ditch-a-thon so I do not know how that went, I sat out due to my feet.

Friday. Lots more people showed up, the assassin game started, AMAZING camp work done by more then just the Anahilus boys. The ten man around the world games went ok in the evening, with SIlverMoon as the victor. The morning went to the Bear Pit tourney. The tourney went ok, after we got more then one ring going. The final numbers of kills for the entire three brackets made for a close, very close finish. The third place was seperated from first by 3 or 4 kills, for 90 minutes of fighting in 80+ degree heat, it was close and very few tempers flared if any. The first place prize a cool sword went to Sir Atog, from BL (? i think), second place, Sir Robin, Stormhaven 2 kills behind and third place was one kill behind that.
Lots and Lots of new garb, fun little add ons and thigns were seen around camp, lots of music period music that is was heard.

Saturday. The main war day, the jugging day and the dragonmaster. There were more than a few entries to dragonmaster. Jerago complained that there were so many he was run ragged! HUZZAH!
Some really pretty things were displayed, very nice.
The jugging tourney was a change over nightmare, first double elim, then single then double, then single then finally double. Then first move on stone, then move on count then dead circle then live circle, was lots of fun, just too many different versions of jugging are played, so we had to settle on a way to play, no wories. The fighting went rather well, no injuries so thats good. Annihalus Yodeling Penis's won.

Court went well, some awards bieng long deserved, some not so deserved. The pie in the face was for 2 pies, Queen Christianna getting one and Arastiri getting the other. The 2 pies sold for 180 dollars or so.

So now we are in the Reign of Emperor Staton ( Gameface) lets hope the next 6 months go well and that we have lots of fun. Next Regents Rambling location Gypsy Hallow for Northern Lights Corination.

another week

So went to SM this, (Shrouding Mist) weekend, fought in the champions tourney. Did ok. Got rained on, sunny skies, more rain torrential downpour, more sun. All in about 45 minutes. No big deal.

Now on to the great part.

So Blackspire you can either rejoice, laugh sniker or hell down right gufaw.. Your regent is a dumb ass. This evening when doing many different things at once, I turned on the stove to start water for Mac and Cheese. Then off i went, more things to do. About 20 minutes later.... BOOM wtf!!!Go running to the kitchen to see.....fire and black stuff that looked clear at one point? Ooww shit hot huny umm i think thats a fire give me hand, use shoes!

Long story short.... I cut my foot, burned it and burned the other one too. I guess correll does explode if you leave it on a burner on high for 20 minutes. whoops wrong burner.

Moral of this story... Glass when heated to the point of explosion is still sharp and HOTTT when you step on it. Especially the week before Pac-War

This weekend (august 22-23 2009)

Well this weekend was fairly hectic up here in the Northwest.



First the election information.

Northern Lights.

Princess- Sir Sam

Regent- Lady Kaylin

Champion- Sir Downfall

Nothing else to report on that, as I was not at the event. I have heard it was a very well done event on the whole. So yay Northern Lights.



The Blackspire elections.

King- Sir Gameface

Regent- Lord Alexi

Champion- Sir Tseng.



The all-thing went well with some new things for next month being brought up. Cant wait to read the full write ups and I will include my opionin on those after they come out and I have sent them to the publisher first, so they do not get blind sided.



The Weapon Master was held today, great turn out, some of the premier stick in the Northwest showed up, so a very deep-ended tourney. Despite the questionable reeving from one ring, over-all a decently clean tourney. Not sure about the winners, not my place to post those lol.

Some fights were fun to watch, others were a forgone conclusion. Overall the smiles I saw on the majority of the faces were genuine and showed how much over-all enjoyment was had.



No one got hurt, well not majorly at least, some banged arms, heads, hands and such. Pretty standard pains from a big tourney. Cowdog, I am sooooo sorry, I didnt mean to whack you that hard with core, didnt mean to hit you with core at all :(



Went to a monarchy meeting yesterday and got all of our calander made up, should be posted soon. Pretty excited about some events, not super stoocked about others. But there is this thing called...responsibility. I gotta do 'em so they will be done to the absolute best of my ability. You voted me into office, so time to earn that trust.

This weekends schedule.

This weeknd is a big weekend for the NW. The Northern Lights have elections on Sat., I will post Sunday night on how they went, as my s/o is the NL PM and will be there to give me a lowdown.

The elections are for the Prince/Princess and the Regent and Champion.
The candidates are : Sir SAMantha and Squire Aphyadren for Princess and Lady Kaylin and Squire Zandar for Regent. The only Candidate for Champion is Sir Downfall.

Also this weekend is the Blackspire WeaponMaster and all-thing and elections for their Monarchy.
The elections for Blackspire will just be a vote of confidence and there is only one person running for each position. The people running for office are: King, Sir Gameface, Regent: Lord Alexi, Champion: Sir Tseng.

There are a few things on the docket for the all thing, but nothing super important I think.
I will let ya all know on Sunday night or Monday.

First Post.

This is the first post for this new blog.

I am an Amtgarder from the Northwest, Washington State. I am going to start this weekend in blogging my day events, campouts, political meetings, opposing events, basicly whats going on in the NW for Amtgard.

This blog will be all from my point of view, I will try to keep it fairly factual and try to stray from opinion. I will have Naomi's help in remembering what went on, to keep an eye out for things i didnt see, and to help get facts as needed.
